Snowshoeing tours

The tours can take place during the day, or you can experience the magic of the northern lights by joining an evening hike.
Imagine exploring the winter landscape at your own pace—surrounded by spectacular scenery, fresh, crisp air, and silence—true silence.

In moments like these, playful Norwegians often lie down in the snow to make snow angels, becoming one with nature.

After a day of snowshoeing, you can unwind in our comfortable accommodations—or enjoy a relaxing soak in one of our outdoor hot tubs, with breathtaking Arctic views.

 

What’s Included:

Easy hike and Northern Light: Approx. 3-hour guided snowshoe hike (including about 40–80 minutes of walking)

Medium level hike: Approx. 5-hour guided snowshoe hike (including about 2-3 hours of walking
Snowshoes and poles
Hot drink, trail snack, and one soda or mineral water
 
Who Can Join?
You don’t have to be born with skis on your feet to join our winter tour!
Snowshoeing is an easy and fun way to explore Senja’s snowy landscapes. If you want to explore some more off Senja or go on some higher mountains you can do the medium level trip.
It helps if you have some experience with hiking or mountain walking and are in reasonably good physical condition—no need to be highly athletic.

Age: Suitable for ages 10 and up.

 
Where to Meet:
Please check in at the reception in the white main building about 15 minutes before departure. Entrance through the glass building on the main pier.
